Guilty Pleasures moves to Mint Lounge

Guilty Pleasures: A whole new world

Moving house is one of the most stressful things you can ever do. It starts of fairly well with a plan, lists, assigned boxes for relevant items etc, but then you get complacent and think “Yeah, I’ve got LOADS of time to do this, I’ll just have a sit down for a minute and watch this Danielle Steele film” and before you know it the removal men are there and you’re screaming round your house throwing shower gel, trainers and kettles into the same box as whatever is left in your food cupboard whilst wearing awful clothes and on the verge of tears. But despite all this, Guilty Pleasures is packing its bags and bidding a fond farewell to One Central Street before unpacking its pop records, Wham! posters and flexi discs in its new home at The Mint Lounge on Oldham Street on Friday, May 9th.

Arranging his ELO records chronologically on his brand new flat pack shelves will be Sean Rowley, playing his best pop party records ever, whilst Anna Greenwood circulates the vol-au-vents, drinking far too heavily before leading everyone in a conga around their new home, accidentally knocking the carriage clock off the mantelpiece.

Father Jesmond will be blessing the new home before taking your confessions in the booth and offering penance of Holy Vodka for all you sinners.

An addition to our spanking new home will be a separate room for soft rock and slowies, an ideal place for a quick snog or tops and fingers. It’s better than on top of a pile of coats in the back bedroom after all.

With still much more to be announced the unveiling of our all singing, all dancing new look Guilty Pleasures will be the BEST party in town. Well for this week at least.

Join us for a new dawn in our pop spectacular!

Launch night: Friday 9th May
