The Trof Summer BBQ
Every Saturday

During the summer months things tend to get a little quieter round Fallowfield, well not any more. Starting on the 20th June and continuing every Saturday all the way into September Trof Fallowfield has lined up a tasty selection of day time parties to take place on their trusty little terrace. Each week a different group of people are taking over, promoters, bands, DJs or friends of Trof, selecting the overall vibe of the day and organising music, bands and market stalls.

The people involved represent a decent cross section of the Manchester music scene with new Indie nights one hand to established Techno nights on the other. Not content with just good music the Trof chefs will be serving up high quality BBQ food, Seabass, Steak and a smorgasbord of veggie delights.

It all kicks off at 12pm with music till 1am, when you can retire home tired and refreshed, ready to do it all again the following Saturday.

After the huge success of Micron's last foray into south Manchester they present a 14 hour techno and deep house.

Open Stage Jam BBQ
Live music, drumming and a chance to bring your instruments down to join in on our open stage. Tasty.

Vinyl Frontierz play brand spanking new indie and electro mixed eclectically with ska/reggae/rock/funk/punk/classics/soul/alternative music. Woopdewoo!

The Murkage Cartel bring summer vibes to the terrace with hip hop, soul, funk and dancing beats.

Trof staff and friends conquer the terrace with live bands and DJs.

The Shoplifter's BBQ
The Shoplifters are a bunch of rather good DJs who frequently rock friday nights at the Deaf Institute, rather than a bunch of hooded reprobates. Remixes galore and a playlist of summer goodness.

Naive Melody residents Slippery People and special guests with the best in Techno, Deep House and Cosmic Disco.

With a Little Help
Due to the success of the all dayer at the Deaf Institute we thought.... why not throw another! Come and spend the day at Trof for a barbie, bands, acoustic sets, DJs and party till the early hours all for £2. All proceeds go to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy charity.

Underachievers is a popular night that runs regularly at Saki Bar playing a pick'n'mix of indie-pop both classic and new. Underachievers should probably try our tasty BBQ.
